We believe that true leadership is a call by God for servanthood within the church and within the wider community. Therefore, we are committed to work for the highest good of those around us.
Intercessory prayer
We believe that prayer is the direct line to God. Therefore every plan and its execution for every ministry and activity in this church will be birthed in prayer.
Faithful service
We believe that every believer is called to serve with diligence. Therefore, we will show our faith by action which does not depend on circumstances and convenience.
Giving/tithing
We believe that giving and tithing is an expression of our worship and obedience to Christ. Therefore, we will give generously and sacrificially to the work of the JLHF.
Passionate evangelism
We believe that everyone need to hear about the life changing message of salvation through Jesus Christ. Therefore, we will use every means to reach people with the gospel of salvation be it by building individual relationships, being involved in the community to show love of Jesus in action.
Family
We believe that the family is the natural equivalent of the spiritual family that God is calling each person to be a part of. Therefore, we will endeavour to build strong families through biblical and practical teaching and modelling how God intended families to be.
Sense of community
We believe that we are not meant to live in isolation but called to live in a community that embraces differences. Therefore, we will endeavour to involve people in small groups where they can find acceptance, grow spiritually, find their place in ministry and be released in the service of God.
Creativity and innovation
We believe that God is the giver of talents and abilities, of dreams and visions, of minds that are repository of God for His plans and purposes. Therefore, we will continuously evaluate how we do things. We will not be afraid of change but embrace new and alternative ways of dealing with the rapidly changing world and find continuous relevance through our church ministries and individual lives.
Mobilized congregation
We believe that every member of the church bidy has an important part to play in the pursuance of the purposes of the kingdom. Therefore, we will encourage and help everyone to discover their God-given giftings and calling and find their place of significance, accountability and effectiveness.
Lost people
We believe that Jesus Christ came to seek the lost and that every person matters to God. Therefore, we will use every available Christ honouring means to pursue, win and disciple these people.
Ministry excellence
We believe that God deserves the best that we can offer Him in everything that we do. Therefore, we will seek to reach and maintain a high standard of excellence in every ministry and activity by honing our skills, using our talents and excercising our abilities.
Grace orientation
We believe that it is only by grace that we are saved, delivered and enabled to live the Christian life victoriously. Therefore, we will encourage our people to serve God with love and gratitude and live lives free from unnecessary guilt.
Christ's headship
We acknowledge Christ as the head of the church ans is supreme in all things. Therefore, we will submit ourselves and all our activities to His will. As a body, we will endeavour to keep our connection to Chirst submitting to His will through the written word and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit.
Biblical focus
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. Therefore, we will submit to the authority of the word of God as the final arbiter of how we live and what we believe.
Bible-oriented preaching/teaching
We believe that the Bible is a revelation of God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct that remains relevant through the ages. Therefore, we will utilise the Bible to admonish, teach, correct and discipline our people through our preaching and teaching.
Authentic worship
We believe that worship is a celebration of the goodness and greatness of God. Therefore, we will seek to hold worship services that allows people to encounter God through the songs, the spoken Word and the warm welcome of the congregation.
Empowered by the Spirit
We believe that God intended our Christian life to be victorious, successful and fruitful through the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we will recognise and allow the Holy Spirit to move and mould our lives.
Submission to appointed leaders
We believe that leaders are delegated authority, chosen and appointed by God. Therefore, we are committed to love, respect, obey amd maintain loyalty to our leaders.
